Another set of LIES @ savedce.in, we answer!

This is a response to the post titled "WHY PROF: P.B.SHARMA SHOULD BE REMOVED". Some of the stuff is entirely laughable! But yeah, since we are now "TRAITORS" as you call us, we will answer some here....

1) History of 21 fraud cases in RGTU (Bhopal) from where he had to resign. How can a person, involved in so many controversial cases be appointed as Vice Chancellor!! .

He was acquitted on all charges against him. This blog has filed an RTI to obtain a copy of the report. He stayed for months after that and then resigned to join DCE BECAUSE THE LIEN WAS EXPIRING! Further extension could not be granted by Govt of Delhi.

2) No committee was set up for his “appointment” as Vice Chancellor.

This is a decision of Govt. of Delhi, and it is very logical for Govt to choose someone who has been leading the Institute from strength to strength for the last 2 decades.

3) The conversion from DCE to DTU was done at the time of his retirement which indicates his motive for extension.

You really believe one man can convert DCE to DTU?! The proposal has been pending for years, with the focus on Education by the Central Govt (Yashpal Committee, Right to Education etc.) this was perhaps thought to be the best time. An IIT Professor, Director of one of the top Engineering Institute for 2 decades, 2 times Vice Chancellor, Internationally recognized and applauded academician, Fellow of most prestigious International Bodies....you think he needs more? All he perhaps wanted was to ensure a great chapter in the era of this Institute he has resurrected from near collapse.

BTW, There is no thing such as "extension"....he has been "re-appointed" after having already resigned from his position as Director.

4) The conversion from DCE to DTU was done during the holidays when hardly any students were present in college. He has stated that this conversion is supported by the students and faculty. The fact that above 95% of the students are protesting this conversion for the past 2 weeks at Jantar Mantar , India Gate and Vidhan Sabha clearly proves the lies he has been spreading. Let us not forget that 98% of the students boycotted the Mid Semester Exams.

It is the decision of Govt of Delhi. They decided and did it....Should they have come looking for our academic calendar?! And why does it take so long for this agitation to start? Why the gap of months for all this to start? It's all a big conspiracy, with involvement of few malicious faculty members and definite outside patronage. After all, DTU is buzzing with great activities...Someone is worried!!!

5) His trump card is to threaten the student’s degree. Since he is the “Vice Chancellor” people usually buckle under pressure.

And student's trump card is to execute the designs of vested interests? and how: In spite of repeated opportunities, offer no demands? Demonstrate and shout abusive slogans? Make personal remarks on the head of your institution? Gang up and misguide the first year students? CM has made it clear: A University approved by law and institutionalized as an Act is IRREVERSIBLE. Even if you get your VC by your evil designs, you will NEVER get downgrading of a Govt Approved University...NEVER.

6) He has blamed UPSC for delay in the faculty recruitment process causing severe faculty shortage. It has been 8 months since the conversion and 4 new courses have been introduced. When asked if there had been any recruitment of faculty to meet the requirement he answered that the existing faculty was sufficient. !. How can there be a ‘severe faculty shortage’ when they can accommodate new intakes !! This is a clear case of exploitation of one’s position.

This is the position of the Government, he is the mouthpiece. Do you know that for the FIRST TIME, there have been application received from all over the world for Academic Positions at DTU? Faculty expansion is a process, you don't go a Supermart and buy professors. But at least, IT CAN BE DONE NOW.

8) There was a CBI enquiry during the time of the last CM. There have been no results of the enquiry and has not yet been formally closed.

Is there any basis to it? Anything that can please be produced to support this? If at all, until there is a judgement on this, it remains an allegation....nothing else.

9) He has been giving fake statistics of his individual publications.

A throughout Gold Medalist (BE, ME and PhD), the very few to be a chosen as a Rolls Royce consultant, the man behind numerous DRDO projects, fellow of prestigious Professional Bodies....He is way up there folks...WAKE UP! And like some of our esteemed faculties, the degrees are not from Punjab or Agra University, they are awarded by UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM (U.K), one of the top-most schools in Mechanical Engineering in the world.

10) He humiliates the students by checking their sms. He has no right to interfere in the personal matters of the students.

And Students have the rights to send him humiliating sms's? Students have the right to spread rumor and lies by sms?! He still decided not to involve the police to investigate the origin of rumor sms's and especially the ones received on his mobile. Are you aware that it is a criminal offence to send humiliating and threatening sms's?

11) The national Holi festival was banned in the campus this year. The notice stated that Holi was banned in the entire city of Delhi. It warned the students “not to take their careers in their hands”!!!

t....and you did not play Holi? It was the same announcement given by all universities across India!!

12) The drivers have apparently gotten so fearless that they physically assault the students. Apparently they have direct contact with the VC.
You have direct contact too, try to reach him! Raise this to him, and complain if you see no action...

16) He has appointed a Public Relations officer in the university. Its not a corporate house, its a university!!

All world class universities operate partially as a Corporate House...Have you ever seen one!? Check out any Top 10 University, they even have a Marketing Department... oh no, they want you to go back to a medieval university like DU right? Duh!

18) Here is a boomer!! He gave admission to his son in DCE in the Masters Programme on sponsorship quota. The rules demand atleast a year of experience. His son had none. Prof: D.Roy.Choudhary questioned this move and was replaced by Prof: Ashok De immediately and YES! His son did get that degree!!!

Cheap allegation, but Bad Ball! His son was admitted when he was away in Bhopal!...And you know what? His son was humiliated, suspended and his admission cancelled by the very same faculty that keeps adding fuel to the current agitation. With all the hostility around him, his son WON the court case against DU and then DCE and finished in the TOP 5 Students of the batch. But yeah, 2 + 2 = 5...

22) Foreign delegations from Universities who seek collaboration are met with complete indifference and they leave the college completely humiliated.

Seriously....Wake up please my friends...we are NOT DU Students, we are DCE'ites....who worked really hard to be here.
