Been busy out here, was out on a business trip. There isn't much to reply to mindless abuses and wild accusations, but Prashant has proved exactly the point we have been making: He is ABUSIVE, it is for everyone to see. Abuse is where it started, and there was/is no reason for us to go down to his level. We really hope someone from his current or past Administration takes note of the happenings and make him succeed on the Self-Destruct path he has chosen. Still Mr. Prashant Bhagat, you shall be answered.
Allegations, hate mongering, fear psychosis, abuse....this was the summary of the last campaign, spearheaded by gentlemen like Mr Baraiya, Mr Shekhar and Mr Prashant. I am so sure a lot more would have been achieved through peaceful means, but understand this gentlemen: It was never an Anti-DTU campaign, it was an Anti-PBS campaign all along, hatched by masters in our own fold and supported by elements in Delhi University.
Jobless people who are in their own Naraka, pray for others to join them. I assure you Nitin Baraiya, if not PBS, PB (Prashant Baveja/Bhagat) will join you soon! And not because we threaten (or someone will do something), but because to reach where you are (your jobless Naraka) there are certain karmic requirements. You fulfilled them to the fullest, and the fun is just about to begin. It is so clear that you are looking at another defeat at the Hon'ble High Court, your basis for the petition is as absurd and falsified as the campaign you spearheaded recently. Unfortunately, our legal system is such that such petitions have to be heard. The statistics will yet again expose the myths. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy in advance!
For a while, we deviated from our purpose of this blog, primary distraction being Mr Prashant Bhagat. There shall be one more post devoted to that loser, he has already said all he had. We reply....to Mr Prashant "Bewajah"
This is beginning to look like mudslinging, it could be better. But you started it, and we will play along. Your latest post lacks content, looks like you did not have much answers. But whatever you could manage, let's talk about that.
I do not support or condone anything.. India unfortunately happens to be the land of extremes. The situations that can be resolved by dialog are instead solved by media. So while a Mr paintal goes ahead and announces to the media that semester system will be imposed without resolving it with the teachers first, the teachers take it to the streets. sorry state oif affairs of my homeland, which is why I choose to leave, never to come back..
PLEASE DON'T, we are much better off without you. People like you can only make false claims, generate hype and do nothing else. We are happy you finally got our point though...and you agree that shouting slogans, organizing strikes, abusing people on the road is not the way of the educated. The debate about "India" (if it exists anymore) is far more complex for me and you to undertake. We all talk about the system being wrong, the fundamental question is: Who makes the system? We are a country ruled by coalition governments for the last 2 decades, we are the nation where caste and region reign supreme over anything national. How can you put the blame of CWG on Govt alone? If taking kickbacks from government contracts is corruption, earning Rs 50 Lakh for 5 second slot on News Network is even worse! Who created the hysteria around CWG? Who benefited? Who gained? The government - Surely not, the people - definitely not, the democracy - obviously not, the bank balance of the media circus - OH YEAH! This is not a debate on CWG or National Pride, the point I am trying to drive is there can be wrong in anything and everything, you just have to choose to stand on one side. In between all this, the section of the society that is expected to behave is the Academia, and that was the whole point. The Academicians don't look good shouting slogans, they don't look good setting such examples for generations of students....
We are a land of extremes as you said, how did it happen? Do we, or the world understand the complex fabric that India is made up of? Can you ever imagine a Bihar or a U.P fixed? Can you ever have Brahmin's welcomed in Tamil Nadu again? We are a country still coming out from centuries of slavery and oppression. The wrongs have been done my friend, and no amount of circus can get this under control. This will have to be a generational evolution. How fair is it to say we aren't good enough? What was the state of affairs in your adopted home after 60 years of Independence? When west, with clear polarity in terms of Religion took long before it could stand strong, it's laughable to expect India to achieve it all in 60 years.
And that is where the term, often coined by PBS Sir, and misquoted by you comes in - World Class University. It is a vision, not yet a reality. It is an initiative, not yet a result. But anything world class, is impossible without its people. That is why DTU suffered initially, that is why India suffers. Can we stop crying foul and work together to resolve the matters? Can we ever shout slogans, and yet applaud our achievements? Transformation is exactly that, letting go of the present reality and moving on to the future. Knuckleheads like you will perish and be left behind, DCE has already moved on to new highs!
When you talk about brand DCE, do you have the slightest idea of how Kashmere Gate was like? You would not even realize amidst the strikes and mass bunks, when your engineering got over. DCE was just well placed, having the distinction of being the only Govt run Engineering College of Delhi, and for this reason attracted the best of minds. The list of illustrious alumni's of DCE is something to be proud of, but the true reason of success for any individual is not his alma-mater, but his grey matter! Know the history, the transformation started with the arrival of PBS, who fought the system hard to get things right. He dared to walk the talk, and got the glorious days of DCE back. He introduced CEE, be brought the academic schedule on track, he made all the student chapters, he fostered relations with the Industry, he remade the lost DCE brand. This is an Undeniable truth; if not for him...DCE would not even have existed anymore for retards like you.

As far as the LM initiative is concerned, there is Direct Funding for the student projects by them, get your facts right.

Do not get misguided again...

A mail is being circulated by some misguided elements either the “Super Six (Sicks)” or their staunch followers to misguide the DTU / DCE student community and instigate them yet again. Let’s examine the contents of the mail circulated vis-a-vis the facts.
1) There is no constitution or law framed to run DTU. Is It So?
Facts:
(i) Delhi College of Engineering has been reconstituted as Delhi Technological University and has been granted full autonomy (both academic and administrative) by the Delhi Act 6 of 2009 popularly known as Delhi Technological University Act. (Click here to download Copy of the Act for ready reference).
(ii) The Act of the University is its Constitution and it contains all that is necessary to define the structure, powers and functions of the University. The powers of various authorities such as the Board of Management, Vice Chancellor, Academic Council, Finance Committee etc. is given in the Act.
(iii) The Statutes of the University further provide in detail the powers and functions of various authorities. First Statutes of the University are framed and notified by the Government and the same has been done after the Act came in force. (Copy of the Statutes of DTU as notified in the official gazette by the Government is attached for ready reference).
Can anyone still say that there is no Constitution to run the DTU ?

We do not threaten anyone and we also openly said that we did not mean to target you. You seem to be pretty disturbed Prashant, which made us wonder whether to react to your posts or not. But you asked for it, so here we are..

- DU Semester System: So, how exactly do you propose this should have been done? Perhaps you are suggesting that there should have been Remuneration adjustments first, and then implementation of semester system? The point was not whether semester system implementation at DU is correct or not, the point is the way DUTA reacted to the entire episode....the trend that is being spotted in Universities across India. Shouting slogans, Abusing/Manhandling of a reputed person in public, taking out शवयात्रा for a person...is this the way of the educated? If there is some political organization exhibiting such behavior, it is understandable (not acceptable still), but the individuals involved here are highly qualified faculty members. Do you support this? And furthermore, the pay scale of DU teachers already exceeds the scale of a number of State/National Universities operating the semester system.
- It is Jadavpur University, not Jabalpur University. This whole story of Cell Phone jammers is a BIG LIE propagated @ the Facebook group. There is no basis or truth to this, no such action has been proposed or planned by the University. Why do you take everything said by Facebookers as absolute truth? Come on, you are a great guy, with exceptional achievements, outstanding academic qualifications, a rising star in the academia, almost a candidate for the next Nobel Prize, yadda yadda yadda ....use a little reason. If you say every individual has the right to privacy, then every Institute has the right to security. Have you already forgotten the tragic fight that happened in recent past, should that not prompt the University authorities to take some steps? If they do it, you scream...if they don't you scream still! The OMV card is being implemented precisely to restrict the entry of external elements inside the campus, and put more accountability on Teachers to respect their time schedule, and this is surely causing some flutter and worry.
- Innovation/Incubator/Entrepreneurship: These are initiatives, that can only bear fruits over a period of time. But aren't you happy that something has finally been put in place? That there now exists a possibility of something happening, somewhat supported by a system. You talk about real companies coming out of this initiative (and you think it can happen right away!), how many such have come out of Indian Institutes anyways? Can you present some statistics from IIT's or other Top 10 Institutes? It does not happen overnight and it did not happen overnight in your adapted home, America.
- Finally, If we were in any way directly connected to PBS, you would not have to wait for some kind of communication with your Supervisors/University officials. This would have already happened. The very fact that this has not, demonstrates that we are not having any intention whatsoever to personally target you. The matter was related to your doings on Facebook (where you were/are the only alumni participating actively). You showed disrespect to your Alma Mater, the head of an Institute and above all, a Government of India Employee. Disagreement, Dissent is different from Abuse, YOU ABUSED.

Baseless Allegations that you leveled against PBS. The objective was not to instigate students?
- Is that how you address the head of an Institute Prashant? (PBS becomes Pabbu, what do you call Dr. Govind Agarwal? Govindu? Gondu? Aggu?! Haggu?!). Is this what is the worth of all your academic qualifications and credentials? Is this the role model what you claim you are? And is SOB another American Clan? Last I know it was an ABUSE, whether in Jhumri Talaiyya or Rochester.
- Aren't these serious, unfounded lies you propagated, to make the most of an unfortunate incident? You leveled criminal allegations against a Government Employee, do you even know the consequences should a legal proceeding be initiated on this matter? This is where you claim DTU degree will have no value when applying for foreign universities..Clear instigation and causing fear amongst students...

What do you say now? D'oh. DTU continues to make waves, for the first time there are tie-up with reputed Institutes/Universities, MoU's with companies like Lockheed Martin, the list goes on. The email campaign of lies...and what's next guys?
Hi Everyone,
First of all...we haven't been able to update the blog or publish some of your comments out here. The reason is that unlike Shri Baveja or Shri Baraiya or Shri Babbar, we have better things to do in life. These three and the gang are aggressively pursuing just one agenda, Removal of Prof P.B.S as V.C.
It is a worrying trend in our country, where V.C of a University is being targeted without any show of respect and almost always, without a genuine cause.
Take for example Delhi University, where Prof. Pental introduced semester system, a global standard which ensures classes and course delivery can happen in a structured fashion and evaluation be spread over multiple phases. It is a step in absolute right direction, and look what happened? The DUTA stood up against it. Why? Well..they will have to teach throughout the year (rather than finishing course towards the end of the year), Semester system introduces more scrutiny towards the performance of teachers and makes them more accountable. It is indeed sad to see the lowest level to which DUTA has fallen...The single point agenda is to: Eliminate the individual who brings a positive change!
Jadavpur University: The plan to introduce CCTV and mandatory declaration of Identity Card became an issue. Why? Every University has the right to restrict entry to its premises if there is credible evidence of malicious activities by external elements. From BBC:
University authorities do not admit publicly that Maoist activities in the Jadavpur campus is the cause for planning a CCTV network.
But unofficially they say that a recent press conference held by a Maoist leader in the university premises - at a time when the police was trying to arrest her - may have provoked the authorities to improve the security arrangements.
Isn't that reason enough!? Who is it protesting then, students backed by Maoists? Sure enough! Anyone with a clean intention will never mind going through such routine measures, if it ensures better security and prevention of anti-national activities inside the campus. What was the agenda then? Eliminate the individual who brings a positive change! (Prof Sharma, if you ever read this: Please introduce the same system at DTU! We really need to keep the Flammable Substances away from the campus, they continue to burn with frustration seeing you there)
This is pretty much the story @ DTU as well. We have witnessed several of the veteran Faculty Members now openly protesting against the V.C. All of these, were at some point very close to the man they are now shouting "Hai Hai" against. The agenda in the disguise of car parking, dean position etc is again the same: Eliminate the individual who brings a positive change! DTU continues to create waves, when it comes to National Rankings, Record Placements, Eminent Visitors, New Faculty Members and so on.... (more in our next post).
I personally am not surprised to see the individuals from the faculty who are leading this right now, but I am pained to see one particular faculty member amongst them (someone whom I highly value and respect). It is because of him, that I believe there must be some genuine issue that the administration can/must resolve. The credentials of the other two are well known, since none exist! Sir, you really don't look good in the company you have chosen, even if you strongly feel about the cause. THEY are no match for YOU! Those two look fine standing outside the Admin office and shouting slogan, at last they finally have something to do!! But not YOU Sir, we need you to continue the great job you have been doing in Research and Innovation, we need you to set a great example for the new generation of teachers who have joined DTU. You are exactly the role model they need, except the happenings of the last few weeks. We sincerely hope the grievances are resolved ASAP, and at least you withdraw your role from this baseless shouting match.
There has been a mail circulated through the Save DCE Facebook page, we shall publish the response to that in our next posting. Rest assured Save DCE wallahs, you will fail again! The numbers and facts speak, NOT YOUR LIES!
Mr Prashant Baveja, we are choosing not to respond to your self-boasting and idiotic posts and comments. You clearly aren't worthy of the time we have already spent on you. The right opportunity, shall be the the moment of strike. It is only a matter of time, before your own doings reflect in your listed credentials. We did not mean to attack you really, but what you did on SaveDCE facebook group is shameful. You indeed spread lies, instigated students and abused the head of your alma mater. This alone demonstrates your integrity and credibility. You shall be sorry, because we live our life carrying all our karma's on our shoulder (and this one will weigh heavy on you).
