Well, just like I trusted my leaders once. The difference is: Nothing in this blog is a Propaganda...Everything here is VERIFIABLE. These are all FACTS, rather than a populist, abusive campaign. This is no "Emotional Atyachar"....We are for logic and reason.

We have another chance now, this is "the" chance. Administration is willing to listen. All the things like if DTU can't be DCE again, we can make sure that it receives the word that it was DCE. We can tell the Administration to embark on a re-branding campaign. I am sure they want to do it.
why steps like cutting wifi in student's hostel? coming to hostel and making them sign paper that they have to give mid sem or otherwise?
I felt bad too...seriously. But then, who started it? We are the ones who did not do a peaceful negotiation, did not address our concerns by official channels, leaders spread lies and fear using facebook...etc. It was sad, Administration could have been lenient. After all this, I am sure Administration will be softer for sure...in fact a lot softer. As per our knowledge, Faculty has also received a STRICT WARNING from Govt. of Delhi against indulging in anti-establishment practices.

I wish I was! I stood all along except the "MEGA EVENT"...I could really see the campaign shifting from "Save DCE" to "anti-PBS". That's what brought us together, leaders were/are executing a different design all along....I am glad to say we have increased from 5 to 150+ now...face the FACTS and you will see the truth. All the more reason we can be hyperactive in our replies!!

Sorry, slip of tongue! but we have never addressed him as what you mention. Anyways, just to tease you, we will use it now! The more we investigate, more we know "Honorable P B Sharma Sir" has done a great job as the head of this institution. He is better than the Goldar's and the Sachdeva's we have seen!

I wish I could...but I am just a student..I wanted Brand DCE too..But I do know that all official communication of DTU says clearly: (formerly Delhi College of Engineering)....

It can be both, I agree he has been around too long. But then, there must be reasons right? Look at DCE (1990) and look at our sprawling campus today. I have spoken to many alumni, He is told to be the MOST STUDENT FRIENDLY Principal. That is yet another reason Faculty hates him....But you can't question his heart and efforts he puts for the Institute.
Donated money for what?
Do you really think there is No Cost to planning an agitation?? Who funded this agitation...I really want an answer from our leaders.

Why not? We are not a college anymore, we are a University....and it is so much a standard to see Business Studies and Engineering together... (IITD, IITB, IISc). I know we are not there, but we are trying! Things can, and will improve.

I should have been specific, certain elements in DU. There is a lot of support from them, from some quarters....WHY? I had a person approach me during the Jantar Mantar protest who said: "Involve DU More" and sped away....several students reported this.

Anonymous1: He was posted directly as HoD? LOOOOOL.... The FACT is: He was never HoD in IIT Delhi, He joined as a Sr. Lecturer 1979, promoted to Asst Professor in 1984, and Full Professor in 1988. ANYONE CAN CROSS-CHECK THESE "FACTS".

- Why RAF? It was for the safety of all of us, particularly those who were not participating in the agitation. If tempers boil (which is so so common in Protests), law enforcement authorities need to be there to control situation. Remember we had Police every time we went out to protest?
- why student expulsions? What would happen in your school if you stood outside your class and started shouting slogans? Started gathering people to do a protest? Okay, this is no school but it was a behavior against the interest of your Institute still. WHY DID THE STUDENT LEADERS NOT GIVE THEIR DEMANDS PEACEFULLY FIRST? WHY NO MEMORANDUM OR NOTICE WAS SERVED TO THE AUTHORITIES FOR THIS CAUSE? WHY THERE HAS BEEN NO SINGLE DEMAND OR COMMUNICATION FROM STUDENTS BEFORE THIS AGITATION?
- why faculty suspensions? They are really lucky to walk away with suspensions really. In a government system, any anti-establishment behavior can result even in a criminal case! And they did more serious stuff, more than instigating us, they donated money. Do you understand the seriousness of this behavior? Both the student and faculty expulsions were disciplinary actions exercised by the authorities, and they have complete case for it...The proof is ALL OVER of faculty involvement.
All those who sent their words to us...GROW UP! It is easy to abuse someone being "Anonymous"...and it is clear that you had nothing to say in counter argument! I am not here because PBS is my favorite! I am here because I want all my friends to know the FACTS. Somehow you like to hit below the belt...but thats fine, it's the evolutionary stage of life you are in.
Responding to a comment that PBS did not take any classes: He was consistently the top rated teacher at IIT Delhi (and no less!) for all the years he worked there. Why do you guys think there is conspiracy behind everything?? Will you question the working of IIT's as well now? It is purely merit that matters in institutes like IIT and DTU (formerly Delhi College of Engineering).
Finally, act responsibly. Stop abusing and stop behaving like B.A (History) students. We are not DU...we are DTU and proud of it.
Note: I am really grateful to all faculty members for providing information about PBS. If only you could bring your admiration of PBS in open, we the students will know the evil designs behind this agitation. For the agitating faculty members (very few), better start teaching now! We are not here for Politics, we are here for an Engineering career....don't misguide us.

I cant digest your allegation even above 95% students find it hard to make it to DU's top notch college.
isn't one man power rule bad?
there should be a board of eminent academicians to take decisions not autocracy like this.
nobody can be made to feel safe/secure of his rights or privileges under this kind of rule.

It will be difficult to apply for MS and higher studies outside under this name as they will first tried to review status which could take time. Same thing for placement.

the brand name dce if was so gr8 then why did nsit did so well even though it didnt..have the 'd' any where near its name..institutes are made good if students are good..not just by the brand name..man and u r getting degrees of dce then why will u hv problems in abroad??and they see ur marks,the research papers uv published..and then the degree..the 1st yrs will get the dce degree in2013..till then it remains dce till 2013..so u hv nothing to say tht u will face prblms in ms or further studies as u r hvng the du degree..and u r being recognized as dce 2013..and that u wnt to tell ur kids tht u were in dce is nt such a gr8 issue tht wud lead to such mass scale activities..
